Equi-FitnessThis service is under development.  Equi-fitness is a rider specific set of stretching exercises being developed by Anni for the ordinary, everyday rider of any age who aspires to achieve the best they can with their horses.  These exercises are designed to be quick routines of 5-10 mins focusing on different aspects each time like balance, core strength, breathing, body control, posture, preventing stiffness and one sidedness in riders etc. The idea is that the exercises can be watched on your phone or ipad and be carried out in waiting time at the stables or as a quick warm up before you go out on a hack.

The test video is just 5 min between horses with messy hair and a red nose as it was snowing/hailing/raining on and off.  Please watch it and fill in the form on the link page above for email notification as more videos become available.  The service will be free whilst under development.

Introducing Anni:
Anni recently started her own business in Sweden focusing on training horses and riders as well as offering riding tours, riding school with Icelandic horses and pony club for kids.   She is also a health therapist and personal trainer.  She helped start and establish a big horse stable in Germany for Icelandics and big horses. Her main job there was to set up their training system and train horses of various breeds.

Anni worked for many years at the well known Holtsmúli 1 in Iceland where she formulated the basics of her training programme. In Germany and Iceland she had lessons with various trainers and judges including her main influence, Peter De Cosemo from whom she has been learning from for many years.

Anni believes that improving body control and body language of the rider creates better communication with the horses. A balance of physical and mental training, dressage exercises, pole work and hacking out in uneven terrain for fitness and coordination will create strong, confident, cooperative and happy horses that can carry strong, confident cooperative and happy riders with ease and elegance in any gait and speed.
